Cornflower blossoms have been sung since ancient times, compared to the eyes of loved ones, woven into wreaths, decorated homes, and used for healing.
It is said that cornflowers are the eyes of heaven on earth, a piece of blue in the generous Ukrainian field. When the harvest was over, the last sheaf was decorated with cornflowers and placed in a corner of the house.
Simple, delicate, elegant. Blue cornflower is a constant element of Ukrainian embroidery and one of the 12 flowers of a traditional girl's wreath: a symbol of life, youth, simplicity, tenderness.
The charming blue flower has always been a constant companion of golden bread fields and has been associated with the natural beauty of Ukraine. Its delicate petals represent purity and innocence, and its blue colour is the sky that protects our land.
And what is most important for Ukrainians is freedom and their native land with its life-giving power, covered with endless fields to the horizon, where a small cornflower blossom looks like a talisman from evil.
