Description

A warm Venetian night outside. A bitter smell of stars shedding light on dark-haired girls like drops of coffee on a white canvas. The night shrouded St. Mark’s square with fog, charming with its endless dance of love and youth.

The streets and soiree are so crowded that it almost falls into gondolas, peacefully swaying in the shallow canals. The slender bridges barely hold visitors disguised in masquerade costumes of the oldest Italian city. There is literally no place to drop a pin: it would cling to a lush skirt or sharp men’s boots.

Masks cover a face from shadows, lowered from under the lashes. The eyes get blurred in a lush twilight mist, resembling tiny fireflies in an open forest. Originally, masks were not used to hide a face, but keep distance when communicating with someone of another social class. Today, the mask is a delicate mystery of the shape and look of a face, a silent charm of the evening dance.

St. Mark’s Basilica is peacefully extending its spires to the shoulders of the tired skies, slightly tapping with its windows on the sides of long columns. A violinist plays in the square, in the mask of course, accompanying the stars in pouring Bach’s melody on the pretty narrow bystreets.

Rainbow colors, bright hats and pointed shoes expanded the city till the fountains and majestic Venetian opera. And you along with your beloved drink some hot coffee in a spacious square to the sounds of violin, holding bright red roses and enjoying the splendid carnival view.
