The Mokume gane technique was invented by the sword master Denbay Shoami in the 17th century, who lived in Northern Japan.
He was a very skilled craftsman, and once, when making blades, he noticed that non-ferrous metals could be interconnected and produce textures similar to patterned Damascus steel.
The complexity of the technology found was that the practically incompatible metals are interconnected in very beautiful and bizarre patterns that never repeat. They are unique, they are one to billions of others. How unique each person, facial features, fingerprints and soul strings, so it is impossible to repeat the same pattern of Mokume.
You have already noticed that all the jewellery from the Mokume-Gane collection is different: everything depends on the flight of thought and creativity of the jewellery master.
We called the ring «Mokume. Seiche», which means «wave resonance». The name appeared because of the wave-like pattern: it is chaotic, as if in search of a foothold.
The ring is decorated with a trilliant cut chrysolite in a gold caste, its transparent colour fills the soul with peace of mind and joy from the contemplation of real beauty.
