Technique mokume gane was invented by the master of swords by Denbe Shoami in the XVII century in Northern Japan. He was a skilled craftsman, and once during the manufacture of the blades he noticed that non-ferrous metals can be joined together and get textures that look like patterned Damascus steel.
The complexity of the technique found was that almost incompatible metals were joined together in beautiful and bizarre patterns that never repeat themselves. They are unique, they are unique, they are one to billions of others.
How unique each person, facial features, fingerprints and strings of the soul, so it is impossible to repeat the same picture of mocumas. You have already noticed that all the rings from the mokume gane collection are different, it all depends on the flight of thought and creativity of the jeweler.
We called the ring "Mokume, Crater," because its amazing pattern of two precious metals forms lines similar to the surface of the planets of the solar system. Metals vibrate in the ring, turning it into a synergy of touch. A powerful cosmic wave walks your fingers, like star clusters. Surprising texture of the surface is combined with technology and aesthetic beauty.
The ring "Mokume, Crater" is made of gold and etched silver, which we also oxidize and darken. The uniqueness of the ring is visible to the unaided eye: no one in the world will have one like you.
