Salamander — earrings made of silver, yellow gold

A little dragon living in flames. A spirit of the element, a symbol of spiritual perfection. The guardian angel, called up to purify the timid from bad thoughts, and the soul from the burden of karma. The tiny creatures with the great inner strength. The most powerful and dangerous element flows in their veins — the fire. 

A salamander, like a dragon, is a duality. It’s infinitely cold, its body is like ice. Nevertheless, fire, the vigorous energy of flame, is a part of its nature. Leonardo Da Vinci believed that salamanders ate fire. And legends say that salamanders are even capable of distinguishing it. 

Arab doctors used salamander poison to treat wounds. And in Christian beliefs it was deemed that the salamander purifies the soul, directs it to the path of goodness and enlightenment. It was believed that God appointed it to control the fiery element on earth.

And the sense that we put in salamanders — is a purifying light, candour of perception, awareness. After all, it is so wonderful to be happy and feel it in every cell of the body. The world is a hall of mirrors: you will not see in it what you did not give.
